It is well known that the Windows Phone 7 emulator responds to mouse clicks. What is less known is that it also can take input from the physical keyboard. There are a few keyboard shortcuts that make the interaction with the emulator easier.

• PageUp  – enables physical keyboard and minimizes the software keyboard
• PageDown – disables physical keyboard and maximizes the software keyboard
• F9 – volume up
• F10 – volume down
• F7 – invoke camera
• F3 – invoke Bing search
• F2 – the same as pressing the home button
• F1 – the same as pressing the back button
