25 Windows Phone 7 tips in 25 minutes presentation

It was an open mic night at Orlando .NET User Group meeting last night (June 16th). There were three presenters, each one giving a 25 minute talk on topic of their choice. Jay Hill was the first one on stage talking about “The Finer Points of C# API Design”. I followed his talk with “25 Windows Phone 7 tips in 25 minutes.” The final speaker was Eddy Recio who presented “4 Quick Tips for ASP.NET MVC Development.”

The event was a success judging just by the large number of attendees. I hope everyone got to learn something interesting among different topics. I definitely did. This was one of the best ONETUG meetings in my books because I had an opportunity to share my passion for Windows Phone 7 development with my peers.  My goal was to inspire others to start developing for this amazing platform.

As always, there were free pizza and drinks which were provided by tekkfusion. There were also lots of raffle prizes. Atypically for me, I actually was one of the lucky winners. I received a ComponentOne certificate for a single full version of one of their products. Thanks ComponentOne!
The final thanks goes to Microsoft for providing Kinect as the grand speaker prize.

We, the Orlando developers are very fortunate to have an amazing ONETUG board who made the entire event possible! Thank you all guys!
